Type of SaleSealed bids. Thirty percent down at contract signing, balance due by December 1st 2013 or before logging begins, whichever comes first.  Buyer will have until November 1, 2014 to remove the timber. 

Owner:  Henry & Barbara Hertel

Location:  Approximately 9 miles southeast of Carmi, Illinois in the NE¼ of Sec. 24, T6S, R15W in Emma Township, White County, Illinois.  From I-64 take 1st exit (Hwy 1) west of the Wabash River & go south on Hwy 1 to Carmi.  In Carmi take Epworth Road (CR 1380 N) (look for the directional sign for Epworth) southeast about 3.1 miles to Epworth.  Here the road turns due south (right) and becomes State Route 7.  Continue south for about 6.2 miles to CR 700 N.  Turn east (left) on CR 700 N and continue for 2.8 miles to CR 1725 E.  Turn left (north) on CR 1725 E & follow road for 1 mile to the barn site on the east side of the road where the bid opening will be held.  The marked timber lies east of CR 1725 E and north and south of the barn.

You can also get to the property from Indiana by taking Indiana Hwy 62 across the Wabash River into Illinois.  Turn north (right) on the 1st county road after crossing the river (CR 1725 E) and travel north 3.75 miles to the Hertel property.   See map on back.

Location:  Approximately 2 miles northeast of Princeton, Indiana in the SW¼ of Sec. 33, T1S, R10W and the NW¼ of Sec. 4, T2S, R10W both in Patoka Township, Gibson County.  From Hwy 64 on the east side of Princeton look for N Wilson Ave.  It is located immediately east of Gibson County Bowling Lanes and just west of MRK Equipment.  Turn right (north) on N Wilson Ave. and go about 0.5 miles to Taftown Rd.  Turn left (west) on Taftown Rd. and go 0.2 miles to Carithers Rd.   Turn right on Carithers Rd. and follow the paved road for about 1.6 miles to a gate on your right with pink & green ribbon tied to it.  Go through the gate & follow the lane on the west & south side of the McRobert’s property.  The marked timber lies on your left (north) of the lane.  See map on back.

Location:  Approximately 3 miles south of Birdseye, Indiana in the SE¼ of the SE¼ of Sec. 1, and the N½ of the NE¼ of Sec. 12, T3S, R 3W in Jefferson Township, Dubois County.  From the junction of State Road 64 and State Road 145 in Birdseye, take Hwy 145 south 2.3 miles to Borden Hill Road.  Turn left (east) on Borden Hill Road and go 0.8 miles to a cabled drive on the right.  It is just before you go past the railroad caboose sitting in the neighbor’s yard on the south side of the road and it is on the Dubois/Crawford County Line.  This drive enters near the northeast corner of the property. Location:  Approximately 9 miles SW of Princeton, Indiana  in the SE¼, SE¼, of Section 28, and the SW¼, SW¼ of Section 27, in T1S, R12W, Montgomery Township.  From the junction of Hwy 41 and Hwy 64/65 on the west side of Princeton, take Hwy 64/65 west toward Mt. Carmel, Illinois.  Go 4.8 miles to where Hwy 65 splits off of Hwy 64 and goes south to Owensville, Indiana.  Take Hwy 65 south for 2.6 miles to CR 250S.  Turn right (west) on CR 250S and follow paved road around the hills but stay in the bottoms (flat ground).  Do not take the paved road up any hills.  The county road turns into a gravel road and then turns into a dirt road.  Follow the dirt road next to the hills on your left for a total of approximately 8 miles.  After 8 miles, the dirt road will turn west and go away from the hills.  When the road turns right and goes west, the Hirsch property is just south of the road and the marked timber is on your left in the hill ground.  See map on back.
