HIRSCH TIMBER SALE NOTICE

Date:   Friday,  April 5, 2013 at 10:00 AM  CDT (Evansville time).  Bid opening at the property.

Type of SaleSealed bids. Thirty percent down at contract signing, balance due by December 1st 2013 or before logging begins, whichever comes first.  Buyer will have until November 1, 2014 to remove the timber.

Owner:  Jacob Hirsch

Location:  Approximately 9 miles SW of Princeton, Indiana  in the SE¼, SE¼, of Section 28, and the SW¼, SW¼ of Section 27, in T1S, R12W, Montgomery Township.  From the junction of Hwy 41 and Hwy 64/65 on the west side of Princeton, take Hwy 64/65 west toward Mt. Carmel, Illinois.  Go 4.8 miles to where Hwy 65 splits off of Hwy 64 and goes south to Owensville, Indiana.  Take Hwy 65 south for 2.6 miles to CR 250S.  Turn right (west) on CR 250S and follow paved road around the hills but stay in the bottoms (flat ground).  Do not take the paved road up any hills.  The county road turns into a gravel road and then turns into a dirt road.  Follow the dirt road next to the hills on your left for a total of approximately 8 miles.  After 8 miles, the dirt road will turn west and go away from the hills.  When the road turns right and goes west, the Hirsch property is just south of the road and the marked timber is on your left in the hill ground.  See map on back.

Remarks:  Trees are marked with blue paint.  Seller reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.  The owner and their agents make no guarantees of the board feet, number, or quality of trees listed in the timber tally.  Bidders are urged to satisfy themselves as to type, quality, and quantity of timber offered for sale.  Buyer must have an Indiana timber buyer’s license.  Best management logging practices are required during the harvest operation.  Purchaser will be required to carry insurance.  This is a classified forest and certified under FSC certificate SCS-FM/COC-000123N as “FSC Pure”.  A summary of diameter and volume distributions by species is available upon request.
