HARDER TIMBER SALE NOTICE

Date:   Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 10:00 AM (EST) (Shoals time).  Bid opening will be held on the property at Tract #2 on Sanders Lane.   See map on back.

Type of Sale: Sealed bid. Twenty five percent down at contract signing, balance due before logging begins but no later then December 1, 2013.  The buyer has until September 1, 2014 to remove the timber. 

Owner:  Brian & Teresa Harder

Location: On the west side of Shoals, Indiana in parts of Sections 23 & 24, T3N, R4W, of Center Township.  Stand #1: From the intersection of Hwy 50 & Hwy 450 on the west side of Shoals, turn on Hwy 450 North & immediately turn into the second drive on your right, approx. 800 feet from Hwy 50.  This is a grass/gravel driveway to an abandon white house. The marked timber is east & behind the old field that has grown up in sapling & post size trees.  Trees in this old field will be cleared, so access can be made through the field.

Stand #2: From the intersection of Hwy 50 and Hwy 450 go west 0.3 miles to Peeks Rd. on the south side of Hwy 50.  If coming from the west in Loogootee, it is approximately 5.8 miles east along Hwy 50 to the intersection of Peeks Rd.  Turn south & follow Peeks Rd. about 0.1 miles to Sanders Lane on your left.  Turn onto Sanders Lane and follow it 0.6 miles to a rock access road on the right into the property.  Look for pink ribbons and a small grassy clearing next to a white ranch house.  The marked timber lies to the south and west of this house.  See the map on back.

Remarks: Trees are marked with blue paint.  Seller reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.  Stands 1 & 2 will be sold as one sale.  The owners and their agent make no guarantees of the board feet, number, or quality of trees listed in timber summary table.  Bidders are urged to satisfy themselves as to type, quality, and quantity of timber offered for sale.  Buyer must have an Indiana Timber Buyers License. Best management logging practices are required during the harvest operation.  Purchaser will be required to carry insurance.  A summary of diameter and volume distributions by species and by stand is available upon request.
