Date:   Friday, January 31, 2014 at 10:00 AM (EST) (Daviess County time).  Bid opening will be held on the property at the Chris Vosters residence.   See map on back for exact location.

Type of Sale: Sealed bid. Twenty five percent down at contract signing, balance due before logging begins but no later than December 1, 2014.  The buyer will have until September 1, 2015 to remove the timber.

Owner:  Carrie and Mike Grimard (Stand #1), and Chris Vosters (Stand #2)

Location: Approximately 3.8 miles northeast of Odon, Indiana in the SE¼ , SW¼  and SW¼ , SE¼  of Sec. 3, T5N, R5W in Madison Township.  From the intersection of Hwy 231 & Hwy 58 East, take Hwy 58 East toward Odon for approximately 2.1 miles to CR 1100 E.  The “Dutch Pantry” county store is located at this intersection.  If you’re coming from the west, CR 1100 E. is about 1.7 miles east of Spring Street in Odon.  Turn north and take CR 1100 E approximately 3.2 miles to where the pavement ends and the road turns to gravel, which is at the intersection of CR 1625 N.  Turn east on 1625 N and go about 0.25 miles to the start of the Grimard property on the south.  The Grimard farm house is approximately 0.6 mile east of CR 1100 E, and the Vosters house is just east of the Grimard driveway.  See the map on back.

Remarks: Trees are marked with blue paint.  Seller reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.  Stands 1 & 2 will be sold as one sale, but the successful bidder will be asked to separate their bid by owners, enter into 2 separate contracts, and make payments by 2 separate checks.  The owners and their agent make no guarantees of the board feet, number, or quality of trees listed in timber summary table.  Bidders are urged to satisfy themselves as to type, quality, and quantity of timber offered for sale.  Buyer must have an Indiana Timber Buyers License.  Best management logging practices are required during the harvest operation.  Purchaser will be required to carry insurance.  A summary of diameter and volume distributions by species and by tract is available upon request.
