Type of SaleSealed bids.  Twenty percent down at contract signing, balance due by December 1,2014 or before logging begins, whichever comes first.  Buyer will have until November 1, 2015 to remove the timber.

Location:  Approximately 3 miles northeast of Loogootee, Indiana, in the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 and part of the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section. 7, T3N, R4W in Perry Township.  From Hwy 231 in Loogootee go east on Hwy 50 about 1.8 miles to Brickyard Rd.  Turn left (north) on Brickyard Rd and go about 0.5 miles to Cherry Rd.  Go north on Cherry Rd about 0.8 miles to Reinhart Rd.  Turn right (east) on Reinhart Rd and immediately turn left (north) on Love Cemetery Rd.  Go about 0.8 miles on Love Cemetery Rd, to the top of the hill where the road makes a 90 degree turn to the right (east).  As the road turns right, the Lyon property is on your left before making the turn. There is a silver gate with pink ribbon & orange/black ribbon tied to the gate, that enters the Lyon property.  The Lyon property and marked sale lies to the west and north of this gate. The proposed log yard and the bid opening will be at this gate.  You can also access the property from Hwy 231 N by turning east on Wood School Rd.

Remarks: Trees are marked with blue paint.  Seller reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.  The owner and their agents make no guarantees of the board feet, number, or quality of trees listed in the timber tally.  Bidders are urged to satisfy themselves as to type, quality, and quantity of timber offered for sale.  Buyer must have an Indiana timber buyer’s license.  Best management logging practices are required during the harvest operation.  Purchaser will be required to carry insurance.  A summary of diameter and volume distributions by species is available upon request.  This is a classified forest and is certified under FSC certificate SCS-FM/COC-000123N as “FSC 100%”.
