Type of Sale: Sealed bids. Twenty percent down at contract signing, balance due by December 1, 2015 or before logging begins, whichever comes first. Buyer will have until December 1, 2016 to remove the timber.

Location: Approximately 2.6 miles southwest of Holland, Indiana and 2.5 miles northeast of Selvin, Indiana in the SE ¼ of the NW ¼ and the NE ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section. 21, T3S, R6W, Lockhart Township. From the intersection of SR 68 and Yellow Banks Trail in Selvin, go north on Yellow Bank Trail 0.2 miles and turn right on Selvin Rd. Go 1.8 miles on Selvin Rd. to Ingram Rd. Go north on Ingram Rd. about 0.6 miles to the Pike County line. Here the road turns into CR 1250 S. Continue north another 0.6 miles to the west line of the marked woods. From here the marked timber is on both sides of the road. If coming from Holland go west on Main Street from SR 161 to 4th St., go right one block to Iowa St. and turn left. Go west on Iowa and CR 900 S 1.8 miles to CR 1250 S (which is the Dubois/Pike County line. Turn left here and go 1 mile to the marked woods. Note the 15 ton limit bridge on 1250 S. on this route. Bidders are urged to satisfy themselves as to type, quality, and quantity of timber offered for sale. Buyer must have an Indiana timber buyer’s license. Best management logging practices are required during the harvest operation. Purchaser will be required to carry general liability insurance & workers’ compensation. This is a classified forest and certified under FSC certificate SCS-FM/COC-000123N as “FSC 100%”. This is the second time MRM has conducted a harvest in this forest. A summary of diameter and volume distributions by species is available upon request.
