Type of Sale: Sealed bids. Twenty percent down at contract signing, balance due by December 1, 2015 or before logging begins, whichever comes first. Buyer will have until December 1, 2016 to remove the timber.

Location: Approximately 6.5 miles south of Birdseye, Indiana and 1 mile south of Siberia in the SE ¼ of Sec. 27, T3S, R3W in Clark Township. From the I–64/Hwy 145 interchange (exit 72) take Hwy 145 north towards Birdseye. Go 1.9 miles to CR 201A or Carlisle Rd. (which is the Siberia turn off and the Dubois/Perry County Line. Turn left on Carlisle Rd. and go 1.5 miles to the town of Siberia. Turn left on Compton Rd. (which is the 1st road in Siberia) and continue for approximately 0.5 mile and the road Y’s. Stay to your right and go about 0.6 miles to where you come to the Fritz property and you will see the marked timber on the right. The log yard and bid opening is another 0.1 miles down the road at the bottom of the hill. See map on back.

Remarks: Trees are marked with blue paint. Seller reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. The owner and their agents make no guarantees of the board feet, number, or quality of trees listed in the timber tally. Bidders are urged to satisfy themselves as to type, quality, and quantity of timber offered for sale. Buyer must have an Indiana timber buyer’s license. Best management logging practices are required during the harvest operation. Purchaser will be required to carry general liability insurance & workers’ compensation. All 5 stands will be sold and logged as one sale, but the successful bidder will be asked to separate their bid by owners, enter into separate contracts, and make payment by separate checks. All, but the Bob Fritz property, are classified forest and certified under FSC certificate SCS-FM/COC-000123N as “FSC 100%”. This is the second time MRM has conducted a harvest in this forest. A summary of diameter and volume distributions by species is available upon request. A road will be built by the landowner to access to the east part of the Beck property for logging. The location of the road is identified by yellow/black stripped flagging on the west end of the rock ledge.
