Type of SaleSealed or phone bids.  25% down at contract signing, balance due by October 1, 2016 or before logging begins, whichever comes first.  Buyer has 2 years to remove the timber.

Location:  Approximately 5.4 miles northeast of Haysville or 9.7 miles southeast of Loogootee in the E ½, SE ¼, Sec. 4, T1N, R4W in Rutherford Township.  From the intersection of Lumpkin Road and Hwy 231, which is about 1.7 miles north of the Haysville bridge or 10.6 miles south of Hwy 50 in Loogootee, go east on Lumpkin Road about 4.2 miles to the intersection with Divine Road.  Turn left on Devine Road and go 0.6 miles.  There will be a field on your right and on the left there will be a dirt lane going into the woods.  This lane is on the Harder property and the log yard and bid opening site is at this point.  The marked timber lies to the west, south and north of the log yard.

Remarks:  This is the second time MRM has conducted a harvest in this forest.  Trees are marked with Blue paint.  Sellers reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids.  The owners and their agents make no guarantees of the board feet, number, or quality of trees listed in the timber tally.  Bidders are urged to satisfy themselves as to type, quality, and quantity of timber offered for sale.  Buyer must have an Indiana timber buyer’s license.  Best management logging practices are required during the harvest operation.  Purchaser will be required to carry insurance. A summary of diameter and volume distributions by species is available upon request.  This is a classified forest and certified under FSC certificate SCS-FM/COC-000123N as “FSC 100%”.
