Type of SaleSealed or phone bids.  25% down at contract signing, balance due October 1, 2016 or before logging begins, whichever comes first.  Buyer will have two years to remove timber.

Location:  Approximately 3.3 miles southeast of Loogootee or 3.5 miles west of Shoals in the

N ½, Sec. 33, T3N, R4W in Center Township.  From the intersection of Hwy 550 and US 50 in Loogootee, go south on Hwy 550 3.6 miles to Poplar Grove Rd.  This will be the first county road to the left (north) after crossing the White River.  Go 1.5 miles north on Poplar Grove Rd to the first road on the right, Davis School Rd.  Go east on Davis School Rd for 0.4 miles to the second house on the left.  This is the Tom Harker residence and where the bids will be opened.  Stand #1 is the woods behind the Harker residence.   Stand #2 is another 0.4 miles on Davis School Rd.  The road will turn to the north and Stand #2 is the woods on the hillside in front of you before you make the turn.              Call for location map

Remarks: Trees are marked in blue paint.  Seller reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.  The owner and their agents make no guarantees of the board feet, number, or quality of trees listed in timber tally.  Bidders are urged to satisfy themselves as to type, quality, and quantity of timber offered for sale.  Buyer must have an Indiana Timber Buyer’s License.  Best management logging practices are required during the harvest operation.  Purchaser will be required to carry insurance. This is a classified forest and certified under FSC certificate SCS-FM/COC-000123N as “FSC 100%”.   A summary of diameter and volume distributions by species is available upon request.
