Location: On the north edge of Petersburg, Indiana in Sections 14 & 23, T1S, R8W of Washington Township. From the intersection of Hwy 57 & Hwy 61 in Petersburg, take Hwy 57 north 0.8 miles.  Approximately 500 feet before the Kangaroo Gas Station is the Rudolph farm lane (paved but semi friendly) on the left.  There is a TREE FARM sign and 10MPH Speed Limit sign at the lane entrance on the Hwy.  Turn left and follow lane back to the Rudolph farm yard & residence.  You cannot see the farm from the Hwy.  The access/haul road back to the marked timber leads out of the farm yard.  A 4-Wheeler can be used to view the timber sale area.

Remarks:  Trees are marked with blue paint.  Seller reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.  The owner and their agents make no guarantees of the board feet, number, or quality of trees listed in the timber tally.  Bidders are urged to satisfy themselves as to type, quality, and quantity of timber offered for sale.  Buyer must have an Indiana timber buyer’s license.  Best management logging practices are required during the harvest operation.  Purchaser will be required to carry both workers comp and liability insurance.  This is the second time MRM has marked a harvest in this forest.  Stand #1 & part of Stand #2 is Classified Forest and certified under FSC certificate SCS-FM/COC-000123N as “FSC 100%”.  A detailed summary of diameter and volume distributions by species and stand is available upon request.  The Rudolph’s prefer logging after crop harvest and will work with the buyer to harvest crops early.

Location: Approximately 1 mile northwest of Griffin, Indiana in the E 1/2 of Sec. 36, T3S, R14W and the W ½ of the NW ¼ of Sec. 31, T3S, R13W in Bethel Township, Posey County and the SE ¼ of Sec. 25, T3S, R14W in Wabash Township, Gibson County.  From the intersection of I-64 and SR 69 (the Griffin and New Harmony Exit 4) go north on Main St. into Griffin.  Go 0.7 miles through Griffin to the “T” road of Upper Griffin Rd.  Across the road you will see the “Mumford Farms” sign.  Go straight ahead across Upper Griffin Rd following the gravel drive another 1.0 miles to the “Y”.  From here the marked timber is to the north and west.  Go left at the “Y” and right at the “Mumford Park” posts and follow the lane to some buildings.  Here you are in the middle of the marked timber sale acreage.  There are 4-Wheeler trails throughout the property that can be used to view the timber sale area

HARDER TIMBER SALE (Sold)

Date:    Friday, March 4th, 2016 at 10:00 AM EST (Paoli time). Bid opening will be held at the Valeene Community Park, south of the Patoka River & just west of the church (see map).

Type of Sale:  Sealed or phone bids.  Ten percent down payment at contract signing.  Buyer will be allowed to pay for the specific stand as logging begins in that stand (Stand 1-75% & Stand 2-25%)

Ingress & egress to the timber is through the Free/Bledsoe property from the east and they are requiring the logs be removed across their property ONLY between the dates of July 1, 2016 and October 31, 2016.

Owner:  Carroll Jean Harder

Location:  Approximately 5 miles northwest of Marengo or 9 miles southeast of Paoli in the N½ of Section 15, T1S, R1E, Southeast Township.  From the intersection of SR 64 and SR 66 in Marengo, turn north on Main Street.  Go two blocks to the T and turn left on Water St.  Go to the 3 way stop and turn right on Meridian St.  Stay on this road for aproximately 5.1 miles.  At this point the bid opening will be at the park on the left.  The Valeene Christian Church is on the right.  The marked timber is behind the Church and cemetery. If coming from Paoli, take SR 37 south about 5.3 miles from SR 56 to the Valeene cutoff road.  Take this road about 5.8 miles, through Valeene & across the Patoka River to the Church and park.  To view the marked sale, park at the church cemetery, immediately east of the church, and walk or use a 4-wheeler to move around the Harder property.

The logging access will be 1/4 mile south of the Church and community park.  Take CR 850 S east for 1.2 miles to CR 440 E.  In about 0.4 miles CR 440 E dead ends on the Steve Free and Brent Bledsoe property gate.  Access will be through their property between July 1st and October 31st.

This is the second harvest for MRM and it contains a high percentage of quality hardwood trees.  However, there are restrictions crossing the Free/Bledsoe property including hauling only between July 1st – October 31st  2016, and truck size and loads are limited to single axle trucks (max 2000 board feet) Tandem axle & Tri-axle trucks (max 5000 board feet) per load, and no full length logs on trucks will be allowed.  Please contact MRM for more details.  This is a classified forest and is certified under FSC certificate SCS-FM/COC-000123N as “FSC 100%”.  A summary of diameter and volume distributions is available upon request.
