Type of SaleSealed or phone bids.  Twenty five percent down at contract signing, balance due by November 1, 2016 or before logging begins, whichever comes first.  Buyer will have until November 1, 2017 to remove the timber.

Location:  Approximately 4 miles north of Loogootee in the E ½ , SE ¼, Sec. 36, T4N, R5W in Perry Township.  From the intersection of US 231 and US 50 in Loogootee (in front of the McDonalds), go north on 231 for 4.5 miles to Day Rd.  This is about 0.5 miles north of the gate at West Boggs Park and just north of the Gas Station.  Turn right on Day Rd.  At approx. 0.25 miles the Day property starts on your right.  At about 0.6 miles from 231 a farm road enters the property on your right.  This is the access road to the timber that lies to the south.  There are 4-wheel trails through the woods and can be used to view the timber.  The bid opening will be at the beginning of the access road.

Remarks: Trees are marked with blue paint.  Seller reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.  The owner and their agents make no guarantees of the board feet, number, or quality of trees listed in the timber tally.  Bidders are urged to satisfy themselves as to type, quality, and quantity of timber offered for sale.  Buyer must have an Indiana timber buyer’s license.  Best management logging practices are required during the harvest operation.  Purchaser will be required to carry general liability insurance & workers’ compensation.  A summary of diameter and volume distributions by species is available upon request.
