HARRAWOOD TIMBER SALE NOTICE

Date:  Friday, October 4th, 2013 at 10:00 AM  EDT (Loogootee time) Bid opening will be held at the Harrawood house on the property.

Type of SaleSealed or phone bids.  Twenty percent down at contract signing, with the balance due before logging begins, but no later than June 1, 2014.  Buyer will have until December 1, 2014 to remove timber.

Location:  Approximately 3.5 miles northeast of Loogootee, Indiana, in part of the SE¼, SE¼ of Section 31, T4N, R4W and part of the NE¼, NE ¼ of Section 6, T3N, R4W, all in Perry Township.  From Loogootee, Indiana, take State Hwy 231 north approximately 3.5 miles to Day Rd.  You will pass West Boggs Lake and West Boggs Park entrance on your left and The Bobber Stop gas station on your right.  Day Rd. is just past The Bobber Stop.  Turn right (east) on Day Rd. and follow road 1.4 miles to a Stop sign at Calvary Rd.  Turn left, which is still Day Rd. and go 300 yards to Cornett Ln. (gravel) on your right.  Turn onto Cornett Ln. and go approximately 200 yards to a gated drive on your left.  This is the entrance into the Harrawood property.  The marked timber is north, east, and south of the Harrawood log home and can also be viewed from the Cornett Ln. and from Day Rd.  See map on back.

 Remarks:  Seller reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.  The owner and their agents make no guarantees of the board feet, number, or quality of trees listed in timber summary table.  Bidders are urged to satisfy themselves as to type, quality, and quantity of timber offered for sale.  Buyer must have an Indiana Timber Buyer’s License.  Best management logging practices will be expected during the harvest operation.  Purchaser will be required to carry liability and workman’s comp. insurance.  Stand #1 is a classified forest and is certified under FSC certificate SCS-FM/COC-000123N as “FSC 100%”.  A detailed summary of diameter and volume distributions by species for both stands in the tally is available upon request.
