Type of SaleSealed bids. Twenty percent down at contract signing, balance due before logging begins.  Buyer will have one year to remove the timber.

Location:  Location:  Approximately 8.6 miles southwest of Loogootee or 11 miles north of Jasper in the west 1/2 of the NE 1/4, Sec. 4, T1N, R5W in Reeve Township.  From Hwy 231, about 7.3 miles south of Hwy 50 in Loogootee or 5 miles north of the White River bridge at Haysville, IN turn west on CR 650 S.  Go 2.4 miles to the town of Alfordsville.  Turn south on Main St., also known as CR 1175 E.  Go .75 miles to CR 700 S., turn west for .4 miles to CR 1125 E.  Turn south on 1125 E and travel .5 miles to CR 750 S.  Go west on 750 S about .7 miles where you will see the woods and a cabled gate on your right.  The log yard and bid opening will be inside that gate.  Besides the woods where the log yard will be there is a separate marked woods across a small field to the north of this woods and two separate fingers are marked to the east of this woods.   See map on back.

Remarks: Trees are marked with blue paint.  Sellers reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids.  The owners and their agents make no guarantees of the board feet, number, or quality of trees listed in the timber tally.  Bidders are urged to satisfy themselves as to type, quality, and quantity of timber offered for sale.  Buyer must have an Indiana timber buyer’s license.  Best management logging practices are required during the harvest operation.  Purchaser will be required to carry insurance. A summary of diameter and volume distributions by species is available upon request.
