Type of SaleSealed bids.  Twenty percent down at contract signing, balance due by September 1,2015 or before logging begins, whichever comes first.  Buyer will have 2 years to remove the timber

Location:  Approximately 2.5 miles south of Dubois, Indiana and 5.5 miles northeast of Jasper, Indiana, in SE ¼ of Section 23, T1S, R4W, Marion Township.  On the south side of the town of Dubois, turn south off of Hwy 545 onto Jasper-Dubois Rd.  Travel south on Jasper-Dubois Rd. for 2 miles to a point where road makes a 90-degree turn to the right at the bottom of the hill and continues west.  At this curve turn left (east) onto Steinbottom Rd. and travel southeast for approximately 1/8 mile.  Mark Lueken’s  house will be the first house on your right (where the bid opening will occur) and the marked timber will be on your left.  Straight across from the Mark Lueken house is a lane into the woods with a “Tree Farm” sign on a split rail fence.  Pull in here to view the marked timber sale.  If coming from the south go to the intersection of SR 164 and Steinbottom Road, which is about 1 mile west of Celestine, IN on SR 164.  Turn north on Steinbottom Road.  The Lueken property is about 1.6 miles on the right hand side of the road.  See map on back.  Note:  There are 4-wheel trails in the woods, so the marked timber can be viewed by using a 4-wheeler.

Remarks: Trees are marked with Orange paint.  Seller reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.  The owner and their agents make no guarantees of the board feet, number, or quality of trees listed in the timber tally.  Bidders are urged to satisfy themselves as to type, quality, and quantity of timber offered for sale.  Buyer must have an Indiana timber buyer’s license.  Best management logging practices are required during the harvest operation.  Purchaser will be required to carry general liability insurance & workers’ compensation.  This is a classified forest and is certified under FSC certificate SCS-FM/COC-000123N as “FSC 100%”.   A summary of diameter and volume distributions by species is available upon request.  This is a well-managed tract of timber and the second time MRM has conducted a harvest.
