BARRETT TIMBER SALE

Location:  Approximately 7.3 miles northwest of English or 9.5 miles southeast of French Lick in the SW¼, SE ¼, and the SE ¼, SW ¼ of Section 17, T1S, R1W, Greenfield Township.  From the intersection of SR 145 and SR 164, near Patoka Lake, go north on 145 about 3.9 miles to CR 875 S.  This is about 9.8 miles south of SR 56 in French Lick.  Go east on 875 S 4.0 miles to the stop sign and the intersection with CR 725 S.  Turn right on 725 S and go 1.5 miles.  This is where the Barrett property starts.  This is about 1.1 miles north of the McDonald Chapel bridge.  The bid opening will be in the field on the right side of the road just beyond this point.  Most of the marked timber lies to the east side of the road, across both powerlines.  Some timber lies between the road and the first powerline.  A few trees are on the west side of the road.

Location:  The south tract is approximately 13.5 miles northwest of Bedford or 12.1 miles southeast of Bloomfield in the SW¼ of the NW¼ and the NW¼ of the SW¼, Section 22, T6N, R3E, Jackson Township.  Beginning at the intersection of SR 45 and SR 58, which is in front of the Crane Bloomington gate, go north on SR 45 for 1.8 miles to the South Tract on the east edge of the highway.  Look for a small parking area on the right side of the road identified with blue and green ribbon and yellow paint.  This is access into the south tract and the marked timber lies south, east and north of this parking area.  To get to the North Tract where the bid opening will take place, continue north on SR 45 another 1.3 miles to Wright Road, also identified as CR 425 S.  Turn left on this road and continue about 0.4 miles.  At the intersection of Wright Road and Jacob Lane, look for a lane on your right that enters the woods.  This is the log yard location for the North Tract and where the bid opening for both North & South Tracts will take place.    See map on back.

Vernon in the E ½, Sec. 9, T8S, R14W.  Stand #3 is approximately 10.7 miles southwest of Mt. Vernon in the W ½, SE ¼, Sec. 20 T8S, R14W.  From the Hwy 62 and Hwy 69 intersection west of Mt. Vernon, go south on Hwy 69 3.6 miles to Bonebank Road.  Turn right on Bonebank and go 0.75 miles.  Here Spencer Ditch Road continues going west while Bonebank Road turns to the left.  Stay on Bonebank Road another 1.5 miles.  There is a driveway to the right and a red garage straight ahead as the road curves to the left.  The Kuhlenschmidt property is between the drive and the garage with Stand #1 being the woods across the field to the northwest.  To get to stand #2a& b, continue west on Bonebank Road another 0.5 miles to the intersection with Raben Road.  Turn left on Raben and go 1.2 miles.  The woods on the right immediately next to the road is Stand #2b.  Continue down the road another 0.3 miles to a lane at the fields edge going to the right.  This is where the bid opening will be and Stand #2a is the woods across the field that the lane accesses.  To get to Stand #3 continue south on Raben Road 1.3 miles to Graddy Road.  Turn right on Graddy and go 1.0 miles to River Road.  Turn left on River Road and go 0.5 mile to CR 1550 S.  Turn right on 1550 and go 0.25 mile.  The road straight ahead is gated so take the road to the left for aproximately 0.4 miles.  Stand #3 is the woods on the right side of the road.  See Map on Back.

Location: Approximately 3 miles east of Ferdinand, Indiana in the NW ¼ of the SW ¼ of Sec. 25, T3S, R4W, Ferdinand Township. From the town of Ferdinand take State Hwy 264 east 2.9 miles to CR 475 E. Turn right onto CR 475 E and go 1.75 miles. This puts you at the west edge of the woods, which is on both sides of the road. There will be 2 black mailboxes on the left and a rock drive on the right. Immediately past the mailboxes and right across from the drive, is the beginning of the Schneider/Roe property (10683 S475E, Ferdinand, IN 47532). On the left is a lane that enters the property and goes to an old log yard. The marked timber is only on the east side of the county road to the north, east and south of the log yard. Type of Sale: Sealed bid sale, with 8% down at contract signing. Buyer will be allowed pay for the specific stand as logging begins in that stand. This will avoid paying for all of the timber as a single payment as logging begins. Regardless, all timber must be paid for in full before Nov. 1st, 2016. Buyer will have until Dec. 1, 2017 to remove the timber.

Location: Approximately 2.5 miles southeast of Bristow, Indiana or 9.5 miles southwest of St. Croix in the W½ and the NE¼ of Section 1, the NE¼, SE¼ of Section 2 and the NW¼, NW¼ of Section 12, T5S, R3W in Anderson Township. From the I–64/Hwy 37 interchange, go south on Hwy 37 8.2 miles to French Ridge Road. Go west on French Ridge Road 5.0 miles to Aztec Road. Go north on Aztec Road about .5 miles where there is an old, abandoned house on the left side of the road. This is on Menke property and the marked timber lies to the north of this point. The newly built road into the property accesses the marked timber and the hay field. If the gate at the top of the hill is closed, then close it behind you to avoid cattle getting out of the pasture. When logging begins, all cattle will be removed from the pasture. The property can also be accessed by going 3.5 miles south of Bristow (which is about 7 miles south of the I-64/Hwy 145 interchange) on Hwy 145 to French Ridge Road. Turn east on French Ridge Road and go 1.4 miles to Aztec Road.

Type of SaleSealed bids.  Twenty percent down at contract signing, balance due by December 1, 2015 or before logging begins, whichever comes first.  Buyer will have until December 1, 2016 to remove the timber. 

Owner:  The Fritz Family: Bob Fritz, Dave Fritz, Barb Welp, JoAnn Greenwell, and Rose Beck.

Location:  Approximately 6.5 miles south of Birdseye, Indiana and 1 mile south of Siberia in the SE ¼ of Sec. 27, T3S, R3W in Clark Township.  From the I–64/Hwy 145 interchange (exit 72) take Hwy 145 north towards Birdseye.  Go 1.9 miles to CR 201A or Carlisle Rd. (which is the Siberia turn off and the Dubois/Perry County Line.  Turn left on Carlisle Rd. and go 1.5 miles to the town of Siberia.  Turn left on Compton Rd. (which is the 1st road in Siberia) and continue for approximately 0.5 mile and the road Y’s.  Stay to your right and go about 0.6 miles to where you come to the Fritz property and you will see the marked timber on the right.  The log yard and bid opening is another 0.1 miles down the road at the bottom of the hill.     See map on back.
