NIMNICHT TIMBER SALE NOTICE

Location:  Approximately 1 mile east of Wheatland, Indiana and 5 miles west of Washington, Indiana in part of the NW¼ of Donation 132, T3N, R8W, of Steen Township.  From the intersection of Hwy 50 and Hwy 241 at the stop light, take County Rd SE800S (Nimnicht Road) east and directly across from Hwy 241, for 0.2 mile to a 4-way stop.  This is Old Hwy 50.  Proceed through stop, crossing and follow the road for 1.3 miles to farm lane with a green gate on the right (south) side of the road.  This lane is just before a large power line and Nimnicht Creek.  Turn right into the lane and follow back across the power line right-of-way and into the marked timber sale.  The marked timber lies on both sides of Nimnicht Creek which can be crossed at several locations allowing use of only 1 log yard, or you can develop a second log yard on the east side of the creek and under a second (smaller) power line right-of-way.  See the map on back.

Location:  Approximately 8 miles east of Jasper, Indiana, 4 miles west of Birdseye, Indiana, and 1.75 miles northeast of St. Anthony, Indiana in the SE¼ and the S½ , NE ¼ of Sec. 19, T2S, R3W in Jefferson Township.  From State Road 64 in Kyana, which is approximately 2.7 miles east of St. Anthony or 5.3 miles west of Birdseye, take CR 700 E, the only road north out of Kyana.  The road sweeps to the right and passes CR 650 E before turning north again.  About 1.4 miles north of SR 64 you will come to the intersection of CR 700 E and CR 400 S, which is a 4 way stop.  The north sale area is a couple of hundred feet north of the intersection on your left.  The south sale area is west of this intersection on CR 400 S about 0.3 miles to the bottom of the hill and on your left.  The bid opening will be at the lane across from the south sale area on the north side of CR 400 S.

Location:  Approximately 1 mile south of New Harmony, Indiana in part of the NE¼ of Section 11, & part of the W½, W½ of Section 12, T5S, R14W, Harmony Township.  From Exit # 4 (Griffin exit) on I-64 travel south on Hwy 69 roughly 6.3 miles to the edge of New Harmony.  Note you will pass turn-offs for both Hwy 68 & Hwy 66 on your left (east).  Hwy 66 turns right (west) into New Harmony, while Hwy 69 continues south.  Take Hwy 66 into the center of New Harmony to a stop sign.  Turn left on to S Main St. (which becomes Maple Hill Road) and follow road straight through a stop sign for 0.7 mile to Old Dam Rd. on your right.  Turn right on Old Dam Rd. (Maple Hill Cemetery will be on your right) and follow this tree lined road up the hill 0.5 miles until you come to open field on your right.  There is an open gate on your right with pink & green flagging.  This gate leads into a field that’s at the north end of the Indian Mound Farm marked timber sale.  If you proceed south on Old Dam Rd. for 0.3 mile, you will see another open gate with pink & green flagging, which is a second access into a field adjacent the marked timber.  If you proceed south on Old Dam Rd. for 0.4 mile, you come to a pole barn and house on your right.  This is a property barn and where the bid opening will be held.  The marked timber is northwest of this barn.  See the map on back.

HARDER TIMBER SALE NOTICE

Location: On the west side of Shoals, Indiana in parts of Sections 23 & 24, T3N, R4W, of Center Township.  Stand #1: From the intersection of Hwy 50 & Hwy 450 on the west side of Shoals, turn on Hwy 450 North & immediately turn into the second drive on your right, approx. 800 feet from Hwy 50.  This is a grass/gravel driveway to an abandon white house. The marked timber is east & behind the old field that has grown up in sapling & post size trees.  Trees in this old field will be cleared, so access can be made through the field.

Stand #2: From the intersection of Hwy 50 and Hwy 450 go west 0.3 miles to Peeks Rd. on the south side of Hwy 50.  If coming from the west in Loogootee, it is approximately 5.8 miles east along Hwy 50 to the intersection of Peeks Rd.  Turn south & follow Peeks Rd. about 0.1 miles to Sanders Lane on your left.  Turn onto Sanders Lane and follow it 0.6 miles to a rock access road on the right into the property.  Look for pink ribbons and a small grassy clearing next to a white ranch house.  The marked timber lies to the south and west of this house.  See the map on back.

BLESSINGER TIMBER SALE NOTICE

Owner:  The Blessinger Conserve  (Hilary Blessinger & Family)

Location:  Approximately 4 miles northeast of Dubois, IN and 9 miles southwest of French Lick, IN located in part of the W½, SW¼ of Section 20 and part of the N½, NW¼ of Section 29, both in T1N, R3W of Columbia Township.  From the intersection of Hwy 56 and Hwy 545 (Dubois Crossroads), go east 2.75 miles to County Road N 750 E.  Turn left (north) onto N 750 E.  You can also come approx. 9.5 miles west of French Lick on Hwy 56 to CR N 750 E.  Once on CR N 750 E go about 0.45 miles to a dirt/gravel lane on your right on the edge of a field and woods.  This lane can be used to inspect the timber to the south, but is not considered usable as a haul road.  Proceed north on the lane to a field on the ridge top.  The southeast corner of the marked woods is on the north edge of this field.  Continue northwest on CR N 750 E to the Wabash Valley Produce, Inc. turkey houses and follow the lane through the two sets of turkey houses to a north cropfield.  The log yard is on the north edge of that cropfield which lies north of the center of the marked timber.  The marked timber can be viewed by parking on the north end of the turkey houses and walking up the hill & across the pasture to the Blessinger property.  See map on back.

HERTEL TIMBER SALE NOTICE

Location:  Approximately 9 miles southeast of Carmi, Illinois in the NE¼ of Sec. 24, T6S, R15W in Emma Township, White County, Illinois.  From I-64 take 1st exit (Hwy 1) west of the Wabash River & go south on Hwy 1 to Carmi.  In Carmi take Epworth Road (CR 1380 N) (look for the directional sign for Epworth) southeast about 3.1 miles to Epworth.  Here the road turns due south (right) and becomes State Route 7.  Continue south for about 6.2 miles to CR 700 N.  Turn east (left) on CR 700 N and continue for 2.8 miles to CR 1725 E.  Turn left (north) on CR 1725 E & follow road for 1 mile to the barn site on the east side of the road where the bid opening will be held.  The marked timber lies east of CR 1725 E and north and south of the barn.

You can also get to the property from Indiana by taking Indiana Hwy 62 across the Wabash River into Illinois.  Turn north (right) on the 1st county road after crossing the river (CR 1725 E) and travel north 3.75 miles to the Hertel property.   See map on back.

Type of SaleSealed bids. Thirty percent down at contract signing, balance due by December 1, 2013 or before logging begins, whichever comes first.  Buyer will have until November 1, 2014 to remove the timber.

Location:  Approximately 2 miles northeast of Princeton, Indiana in the SW¼ of Sec. 33, T1S, R10W and the NW¼ of Sec. 4, T2S, R10W both in Patoka Township, Gibson County.  From Hwy 64 on the east side of Princeton look for N Wilson Ave.  It is located immediately east of Gibson County Bowling Lanes and just west of MRK Equipment.  Turn right (north) on N Wilson Ave. and go about 0.5 miles to Taftown Rd.  Turn left (west) on Taftown Rd. and go 0.2 miles to Carithers Rd.   Turn right on Carithers Rd. and follow the paved road for about 1.6 miles to a gate on your right with pink & green ribbon tied to it.  Go through the gate & follow the lane on the west & south side of the McRobert’s property.  The marked timber lies on your left (north) of the lane.  See map on back.
