TIMBER MARKING & MARKETING

We provide extensive timber marketing services to our clients. The majority of harvests that we complete are improvement cuts, noted as such because they improve the growth, quality and health of the forest. We personally select, mark and measure each tree to be included in the sale. Trees are then tallied and put into a sale prospectus that is mailed to Indiana licensed timber buyers to solicit a fair market sealed bid. The sale is then conveyed to the high bidder via a timber sale contract to protect the interests of the owner and the forest resource. We personally are present when logging begins, and periodically monitor the logging process to the end to insure a high quality harvest . The result is a healthy, productive forest and to insure the client receives a fair market price for their timber being sold.

TREE PLANTING

Our mechanical tree planting equipment is state-of-the-art technology, specializing in reforestation of open fields. We are equipped to handle jobs of all sizes. We can prepare a planting plan that evaluates the site and recommends the appropriate tree species and weed control measures for the proper planting. We have successfully planted over several thousand acres of trees on both private and public lands.

The company is insured and licensed to commercially apply pesticides in the State of Indiana. We are also an NRCS Technical Service Provider to meet guidelines for both federal and state cost-share programs.

TIMBER STAND IMPROVEMENT (TSI)

Timber Stand Improvement or TSI for short, is any activity designed to enhance the growth, health and vigor of the forest. It is an extremely important management tool that is often overlooked immediately following a timber harvest. We offer a full range of TSI services ranging from crop tree release, thinning, weeding, cull tree removal and grape vine control. We believe the quality of this work is important enough to deserve our personal and professional attention. Therefore, we are the ones that perform the work. We are fully insured and covered by workers compensation insurance.
